Home School Community Liaison Co-ordinator
During my time as HSCL I gained unique experience working with and for families. I organised and facilitated a range of supports for parents; working as an active agent of change in my community. My time in this role gives me unparalleled insight into the challenges parents and their adolescents face. I dealt with school refusal, attended issues, anxiety and many other domestic and educational issues.

Other Training & Skills
An advocate of lifelong learning, I am constantly seeking out Continuous Professional Development (CPD). Recent training I have undertaken includes: Managing Stress & Anxiety, SafeTALK, BRIEF Solution Focused Training, Jigsaw One Good Adult Training, online Therapy Training and Understanding Self Harm.

Guidance Counsellor
I work a guidance counsellor in a post primary school. I work as part of a collaborative team delivering the school guidance service. We offer a holistic model - supporting the students with the three pillars of guidance - social/personal, educational and careers.

Parenting Programme Facilitator
I have facilitated many roll outs of the Parents Plus/Working Things Out Programme in my School context. This is an 8 week, evidenced based course, designed to facilitate a parent support group. I have found this a personally enriching experience each time I have organised it. Typically, I have learned more from the participants than I know myself! This experience has given me first hand knowledge of the parent-adolescent dynamic. It has informed me both as a professional and as a parent.
